SHIPPING TERMS
FOB: Freight-On-Board/Free-On-Board. This is the cost of the vehicle excluding shipping and local taxes or charges. If you buy the vehicle at FOB price, either from Auction or SABE IMPORTS stock, it includes the vehicle cost and all expenses in Japan (except container packing)
CIF: Cost, Insurance and Freight. This is the cost of the vehicle including shipping and insurance. If you buy the vehicle at CIF price it includes all the expenses excluding local taxes and charges at the Port of Discharge.
T.T: Telegraphic Transfer. This is the best way to electronically transfer your deposit and final payment to us. It is fast, safe and effective. In most European Countries this is also known as a Wire Transfer. A T.T can be done at all major banks.
SHIPPING DOCUMENTS
Most Countries require the following documents:
Bill of Lading- This is used to collect the vehicle at the port and to prove you have ownership. It is very important, so it must be kept safe.
Invoice- You may need this to give to customs to pay import taxes.
Cancellation of Registration - This is to show that the car has been exported from Japan and provides the technical details of the car.
Translation of Registration Certificate- We will translate the cancellation certificate into English or your preferred language.
We can arrange all the above documentation for you and also provide you with a clearance service at the Port of Discharge. Please contact us for further information.
